LNG – Plants, Carriers And Receiving Terminals

The demand for natural gas, in particular liquefied natural gas (LNG), has increased significantly since the turn of the 21st century. This demand is set to rise further as the world continues its shift towards cleaner sources of energy.

The liquefaction of natural gas allows for ease of transport and storage (the energy density of LNG is 600 times greater than in its gaseous form). Natural gas is condensed into a liquid by cooling it to cryogenic temperatures of approximately -162°c.

CPA offers cryogenic pipe support solutions through the design and manufacture of pipe supports which incorporate high density polyurethane foam (HD PUF) or rigidised Aerogel as an extremely effective load bearing cryogenic insulation medium.
